ABOUT

On September 8th, we invite everyone interested to attend the Jana Cekara Film Festival dedicated to the culture and history of East Turkestan, Uyghurs, Kazakhs, and other peoples residing in the region.

The goal of the Zhana Shekara Film Festival is to raise awareness of East Turkestan as part of Central Asia, its identity, language, culture, and history. Our mission is to expand knowledge about East Turkestan and provide a platform for the analysis and discussion of documentary and visual research by contemporary directors and artists.

Film screenings will take place from September 8th to September 11th, with subtitles. During the festival, panel discussions and artist talks will also be held. The detailed festival program will be available on the Jana Cekara social media platforms and on the website janacekara.com.
